PhoenixNAP Opens the Doors to its Flagship Data Center to Celebrate its Expansion

PhoenixNAP announced it will be hosting its first open house event with the theme "Data Center DNA." Organized to celebrate the recent 15,000 sqft expansion of phoenixNAP's flagship data center, the event will gather technology leaders and IT specialists for a four-hour educational and networking program.

With support from its technology partners Veeam, Intel, VMware, Supermicro, Extreme NetworksTM, and Ruckus, phoenixNAP will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn more about data center trends and technologies, explore Arizona's first AWS Direct Connect facility, and chat with renowned experts in cloud, virtualization, and data center technologies. All visitors will also be able to take a tour through the data center and see the expanded floor space that will become available to facility tenants in the following weeks.

"With additional 15,000 sqft in the building, we are able to accommodate the evolving demands of our clients for additional space and equipment," said Ian McClarty, President at phoenixNAP. "As we are expecting a greater number of large international carriers to move in and as our current tenants continue to expand their businesses, this step allows us to stay abreast of the changes. The expansion work took six months to complete and I could not be more proud of our team for making it possible. I am looking forward to sharing this excitement with our partners and guests at the open house event."

Scheduled for June 14, Data Center DNA will include expert presentations on trending industry topics including security, virtualization, and data center network. The event will also welcome special guests from Arizona's notable IT communities, including Arizona Technology Council, Arizona Systems Management User Group, Arizona Cyber Threat Response Alliance (ACTRA), and Citrix User Group Community (CUGC).

The visitors are welcome to join between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at their convenience. The data center tours will be carried out every half an hour to enable everyone to take part and explore the building. All visitors will be entered into a special raffle for valuable Amazon gift cards and the winners will be announced every hour.
