CrowdStrike Offers $1 Million Breach Prevention Warranty for CrowdStrike Falcon Endpoint Protection Complete

CrowdStrike Inc., the leader in cloud-delivered endpoint protection, today announced the launch of its next-generation endpoint security breach prevention warranty. CrowdStrike stands so strongly behind its breach protection capabilities that it established an EPP Complete warranty of up to $1 million if a breach occurs within the protected environment. Last week, it was announced that CrowdStrike scored the highest overall out of 21 vendors for use case Type A or "forward leaning" organizations in Gartner's inaugural Critical Capabilities for Endpoint Protection Platforms report. Earlier this year, CrowdStrike was positioned the highest in ability to execute and furthest in completeness of vision in the Visionaries Quadrant of the 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP).

Other industries have long offered product warranties to assure customers that the products they purchase will function as advertised. This has not been the case in cybersecurity, where customers generally have little recourse when security products fail to protect them. This is the first announced endpoint security breach prevention warranty that includes coverage for the costs incurred while responding to a data breach in the protected environment, including incident response, legal fees, notification, credit monitoring, forensic investigation and public communications expenses. CrowdStrike provides this warranty at no extra cost and has structured it in a very simple and transparent way, without putting onerous requirements on customers. CrowdStrike has purchased an insurance policy from an AIG insurance company to help protect their financial risk.

"With cybersecurity breaches dominating the headlines every week, it's clear the industry can benefit from more accountability. We are introducing this comprehensive warranty covering many types of attacks -- exploits, ransomware, zero-days, etc. This offering is straightforward and transparent with no additional costs, no hidden caveats and no unachievable requirements," said George Kurtz, CrowdStrike's co-founder and chief executive officer. "Unlike other vendors, CrowdStrike fully stands behind the breach protection capabilities of the CrowdStrike Falcon platform and the CrowdStrike EPP Complete solution, which is why we are happy to announce the warranty offering starting today."

According to Gartner, "The most visionary and leading of vendors in 2018 and 2019 will be those that use the data collected from their EDR capabilities to deliver actionable guidance and advice that is tailored to their clients. Detecting known IOCs and suspicious behavior is only one side of the EPP coin - solutions must detect and proactively alert on weaknesses or vulnerabilities that are being exploited right now, or are likely to be exploited in the future."

CrowdStrike's EPP Complete offering changes the game by making endpoint security effective and easy for all organizations, regardless of their current security posture and through offering a warranty that stands behind the company's claims. The key to its success is the turnkey approach, combining the power of the Falcon Endpoint Protection technology with the skills and experience of the Falcon Endpoint Protection team. With EPP Complete, CrowdStrike is democratizing security, enabling small teams to have the same access to talent and resources as larger companies, to effectively fight off cyber threats.

With EPP Complete, CrowdStrike experts take over the administration and monitoring of the Falcon platform, as well as the response to threats 24/7/365, giving organizations of all sizes the most effective endpoint security possible.

The solution uniquely integrates powerful best-in-class prevention, detection and response with IT hygiene capabilities, coupled with the Falcon EPP team of security experts, to provide a powerful defense against the rapidly changing tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) used by adversaries.
