Runecast Analyzer 1.8 Introduces NSX-V Support


Runecast, a leading provider of predictive analytics for VMware environments, today announced the availability of the latest version of Runecast Analyzer.

Eagerly anticipated support for VMware NSX-V is finally available. Runecast Analyzer v1.8 uses current VMware Knowledge Base articles and Runecast expertise to analyze the NSX-V infrastructure and expose potential issues and best practice violations, before they cause major outages. Runecast Analyzer support VMware NSX-V versions 6.2 to 6.4.1.

Together with existing support for VMware vSphere and vSAN, Runecast Analyzer adds another key layer to its analysis portfolio to provide customers unparalleled ability to proactively avoid issues by fine-tuning their VMware environment.

The main NSX-V functionality consists of analysis and reporting against Best Practices, VMware Security Hardening, and DISA-STIG. Also available is automatic discovery of NSX Managers linked to vCenters.

All existing customers will be able to upgrade seamlessly. If the Runecast Analyzer appliance is configured to download the latest update, the upgrade will be automatic. In the case where the appliance is configured for manual updates, customers will have the option of manually triggering the update or performing an offline update where the ISO update file can be downloaded and then copied over into a more secure environment where the Runecast Analyzer appliance resides.
