HPE is helping customers accelerate their adoption of software-defined infrastructure with the newest addition to their hyperconverged (HCI) portfolio -- the HPE
SimpliVity 2600. This new hyperconverged solution will complement the
existing HPE SimpliVity 380 hyperconverged solution and give customers a
new, highly dense platform for client virtualization.
"Today's customers face complex and varied needs as their IT
environments continue to evolve due to an explosion of apps and data,"
said Thomas Goepel, Hyperconverged Product Manager, HPE. "To respond
faster to the demands of digital transformation, organizations must
deploy software-defined technology and solutions capable of delivering
business outcomes at cloud speed."
HPE SimpliVity 2600 is a new
solution for VDI deployments with up to 2X more compute per rack unit. Built on
high density Apollo 2000 Gen10 servers, this new solution delivers in all
areas, including:
- 100% software-driven technology which offers customers
unprecedented control, including functions that support more remote users
and multi-cloud solutions.
- With double the capacity within a small rack unit,
SimpliVity 2600 is ideal for customers who want all of the HPE SimpliVity
core software capabilities but have physical space constraints.
- HPE SimpliVity 2600 is also verified by LOGINVSI -
which means every single HPE hyperconverged platform
has been verified with this IT-industry standard in VDI performance load-testing and benchmarking.
"Most customers I speak with who have deployed HPE SimpliVity tell me it has simplified their IT while enhancing data protection through backup and recovery, which is a standard built-in feature," added Goepel. "As the first software-optimized offering in the HPE SimpliVity portfolio, the HPE SimpliVity 2600 provides a foundation to expand the HPE data virtualization platform from core to edge."
HPE SimpliVity 2600 will be ready for global shipping beginning on July 13, 2018.
