Mobile Labs,
the leading supplier of customer-installed mobile device clouds to the
Global 2000, announces its new hosted device cloud has reached an
important milestone, now containing more than 100 active smartphones and
tablets. Hosted by the company's flagship product, deviceConnect,
devices in the Mobile Labs data center join more than 2,000 mobile
devices customers have deployed worldwide on their premises for
cloud-based mobile development and testing.
"2018
has seen dramatic growth in customer demand for high-performing access
to real mobile devices in the cloud," said Mobile Labs President and CEO
Dan McFall, "and we are seeing that demand rise in three models,
on-premises only, hosted only, and a hybrid featuring both." Many
customers are using the hosting center, McFall noted, to extend
deviceConnect for on-demand capacity during peak need periods.
The Mobile Labs hosted version of
deviceConnect offers all key device-sharing capabilities including
high-performing manual testing, "instant-on," pre-installed Appium
automation scripting that delivers large capacity with ease of use,
tools to speed script development, assistance with iOS provisioning,
device management, scheduling, user management, mobile app management
and versioning, and DevOps integration for continuous integration and
continuous testing. deviceConnect also integrates an industry-leading
number of third-party testing and development tools through its
deviceBridge feature that gives device cloud access to tools that otherwise have none.
"We
anticipate even more rapid adoption of our hosted cloud in the
remainder of 2018," said McFall. "Customers are increasing both the size
and number of their mobility projects and are finding the sharing,
management, and automation capabilities of a device cloud more and more
beneficial for speeding their projects to market."
