ControlUp today announced
ControlUp Console is available to customers of VMware Cloud on AWS.
VMware Cloud on AWS brings together VMware's enterprise-class
Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) software and elastic, bare-metal
infrastructure from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to give organizations
consistent operating model and application mobility for private and
public cloud. ControlUp delivers total visibility, Machine Learning
assisted analytics and fast troubleshooting to customers of VMware Cloud
on AWS.
With
ControlUp, vSphere administrators can quickly spot application
performance issues across multiple layers - from the hypervisors and
datastores to connection servers and VMs, all the way to specific
processes. Using real-time performance data, ITOps teams can quickly
detect AND remediate the root cause of an issue, using the ControlUp
console. ControlUp gives VMware administrators access to a rich set of
contextual management actions that enable proactive troubleshooting of
data-center related issues. Moreover, ControlUp seamlessly aggregates
data for historical analysis and offers a plethora of out-of-the-box
reports including HW virtual and physical resource consumption, topology
flow, application activity, user action, user experience, system health
and licensing.
"ControlUp's
long history in ITOps monitoring and troubleshooting, by leveraging
VMware and AWS, makes us well-suited to ensure best user experience as
well as fast root cause analysis for our mutual customers' data center
and cloud workloads," said Ricky Trigalo, VP of product management for
ControlUp. "The validation of ControlUp on VMware Cloud on AWS allows
customers to grow their on-premise cloud infrastructure on-demand with
new vSphere-based cloud resources on AWS, managing, monitoring and
remediating their local VMware infrastructure and the remote vSphere
resources offered by AWS in a transparent fashion for end users."
"Probably
the most cost effective monitoring tool I have ever purchased in my 30
years within the IT industry. Does what it says and for an incredible
price. ControlUp is a no brainer."

VMware
Cloud on AWS technology partners enable customers to deploy the same
proven solutions seamlessly in both the public and private cloud. VMware
simplifies the deployment and eliminates the need for partners to
refactor solutions for VMware Cloud on AWS. If a partner solution works
on-premises in a VMware vSphere® environment, it will easily support
VMware Cloud on AWS. VMware technology partners complement and enhance
native VMware Cloud on AWS service and enable customers to realize new
capabilities.
"VMware
Cloud on AWS provides customers a seamlessly integrated hybrid cloud
offering that gives customers the SDDC experience from the leader in
private cloud, running on the leading public cloud provider, AWS," said
Kristen Edwards, director, alliance programs, VMware. "Solutions
such as ControlUp enable IT teams to reduce cost, increase efficiency,
and create operational consistency across cloud environments. We're
excited to work with partners such as ControlUp to enhance native VMware
Cloud on AWS capabilities and empower customers with flexibility and
choice in solutions that can drive business value."
