CloudCheckr, the comprehensive cloud management platform for cloud cost
optimization, security, and compliance, revealed a new way for modern
enterprises, service providers, and public sector organizations, to peer back
in time. Announced at the annual AWS re:Invent conference, CloudCheckr
SnapBack provides a snapshot-in-time view of an entire cloud infrastructure,
utilizing up to seven years of customer data.
Available now in the CloudCheckr platform, SnapBack technology changes a
customer's view of their cloud infrastructure to a specific point in time in
the past. In particular, this historical view of cost, security, and compliance
allow large enterprises and service providers to view comparisons over a long
period of time, access a visual audit trail of changes to their infrastructure,
and assess their security stance. Data presented through SnapBack is
frozen-in-time and not editable by any user or administrator.
As enterprises and service providers migrate workloads to the cloud as part
of their digital transformation strategy, they utilize purpose-built cloud
management platforms such as CloudCheckr to build confidence in public cloud
migration and accelerate adoption of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS). The
largest and most advanced cloud computing customers use CloudCheckr because
features such as security, governance, compliance, automation, cost
optimization, and billing help them utilize that infrastructure quickly and at
a large scale. The addition of SnapBack technology further extends this
confidence.
"Our customers told us they wanted the ability to keep their cost,
security, and compliance data for a very long period of time," said Jeff
Valentine, Chief Product Officer of CloudCheckr. "We offer our Ultimate
customers up to 7 years of data retention, and now with SnapBack, they can
access historical data easily inside our user interface."
SnapBack is included as a free feature in the CloudCheckr Ultimate Edition
and is available for demonstration at the Amazon Web Services re:Invent
conference in Expo Hall booth 1440 or sign up for a demo at www.cloudcheckr.com/demo.
