Nexsan
announced the appointment of Read Fenner as VP of Global Sales. Nexsan
has had many accomplishments throughout the year, most notably the
launch of its Assureon Cloud Transfer solution. The company is
continuing their efforts to capitalize on its growth by accelerating its
channel presence internationally through a number of new strategic
partnerships and appointments.
As
the VP of Global Sales at StorCentric, Fenner will expand his role to
also direct the sales of Nexsan's robust and highly-reliable storage
solutions, while continuing to oversee Drobo sales. Both Drobo and
Nexsan were acquired by StorCentric earlier this year, and operate under
the StorCentric parent company to provide a complete portfolio of
storage solutions. He brings over 25 years of industry experience and
has a proven track record working within the channel, having held
positions within both reseller and manufacturing companies.
Read
Fenner, VP of sales at StorCentric, Parent Company of Drobo and Nexsan,
added, "Nexsan has a strong channel offering, and I look forward to
building on its track record. Over the next year, we will be adding to
our lead-generation programs to send more well-qualified leads to our
partners along with helping them to drive additional margin. I
appreciate the power of the channel and the importance of building and
maintaining tight relationships."
Fenner
has experience in establishing and driving to market new sales
strategies, channel development and customer management. Previously, he
worked at Buffalo Technology where he implemented the company wide sales
strategy, channel program and improved margins from 29% to 40% in just
over two years. In his new role, Fenner will be responsible for growing
sales and working with the channel to build on value propositions that
enable partners to drive additional profit margin.
Mihir
Shah, CEO of StorCentric noted, "Read has been instrumental in our
success, and his appointment to manage both brands highlights our
continued commitment towards our customers and the channel. His sales
leadership and past success align with our strategy as we execute on
growth and innovation in the storage industry."
Fenner's
appointment follows the addition of Mark Walker, who joined the Nexsan
team earlier this year as Channel Sales Director for UK and Ireland.
Nexsan is continuing to invest in the channel and through its
award-winning partner program, provides Value-Added Resellers (VARs)
with strong profit margins through deal registration, sales enablement,
marketing support, training and MDF funds.
