Cloudistics,
the cloud software platform company, today announced record customer
adoption of its Cloudistics platform over legacy infrastructure.
Cloudistics has gone beyond the limits of legacy virtualization and
hyperconverged infrastructures with a full-fledged private cloud that
offers a premium experience for organizations that want to escape the
status quo and transform IT service delivery within their organization.
The company saw a 400% growth in customer adoption over legacy models
from last year to this year.
"Cloudistics
is a remarkable shift in experience from what we had previously," said
Phillip Langeberg, Corporate IT Director of Massanutten. "We needed
something that would not only save us money but work for the long haul
and coupled with the white glove treatment we received, it was more than
what we expected. From accelerated time to value, less pressure on our
IT organization, streamlined support, and better safety in the case of
downtime, even our major updates take very little time or effort."
Massanutten Sees 30 Percent CapEx Reduction with Unprecedented Operational Benefits
Massanutten
Resort, a 6000-acre all-season resort in Massanutten, Virginia built an
industry-standard infrastructure for a medium-sized organization.
Within only a few years, they were encountering unacceptable
limitations. Rather than purchasing more servers and storage for a
legacy virtualization platform, Massanutten decided to work with
Cloudistics and chose two Cloudistics Cloud Platforms.
Cloudivus Embraces Cloudistics and Saves Customers 30 Percent
After
two months spent getting up close and personal with the Cloudistics
Platform - setting up containers, infrastructure, and seeing the API and
the integration that is possible, Joseph Funaro dusted off an idea he
had shelved years ago because of the impossibility of making it cost
effective on the VMware or Hyper-V platforms, and breathed new life into
his vision of a decentralized, democratized cloud. The company is
Cloudivus, LLC and its product, The People's Cloud, will launch in Q1,
2019 with a 30 percent cost savings over current public cloud offerings.
"Once
I had my hands in the Cloudistics product, it was the dollars and
cents, and the fact that I was being handed a platform as an appliance
that made me recognize that my vision could be realized. I had just
built a similar VMware-based system for a client, and here I was
building a Cloudistics solution for a different client, one that
compared apples-to-apples with the previous solution, for less than half
the price," Funaro explained.
Global Financial Trading Firm Reduces CapEx by 70 Percent Compared to Legacy Infrastructure
A
major financial services and trading firm based in Texas, with
locations around the world, chose the Cloudistics Cloud Platform to
replace its legacy virtualized IT infrastructure. The company
successfully deployed new sites in a day and half and reduced time spent
on routine tasks by 60 percent. Consequently, Cloudistics has become
the backbone of their business expansion plans because they can manage
more sites with fewer people, enabling them to grow in ways other
technologies couldn't enable.
Healthcare Research Labs Taps Cloudistics Over Hyperconverged Solutions
A
major medical research institution out of Maryland relied on a legacy
virtualization platform for research workloads. With Cloudistics, the
research institute was able to have over 200 virtual machines running
databases, scientific computing, and analytics workloads without hidden
costs, the need for specialists and without add-on support contracts or
licensing. Cloudistics has enabled them to scale their hardware
granularly, allowing them to add compute independently from storage for
better CapEx controls and hardware utilization.
"Cloudistics
goes beyond virtualization by delivering the simplicity and experience
of the public cloud-but within a customer's secure data center," said
Dan Mroz, VP of Worldwide Marketing of Cloudistics. "Working hand in
hand with customers this year, we demonstrated game-changing operational
efficiencies by resolving a broad range of legacy operational pains;
whether it be the need for white glove customer experience, streamlining
IT service delivery or simply alleviating unnecessary frustrations from
legacy infrastructure. Quite simply, we strive to be the answer to
customers who are asking for a more efficient way forward - an
all-inclusive private cloud platform that disrupts the costs and
complexities of other approaches."
This news concludes a bumper year for Cloudistics that included:
- The launch of its game-changing Application Marketplace with dozens of application and operating system templates
- Adding
new capabilities with three integrated tools: Access Manager, Metering
Manager, and Migration Manager for accelerated administrative efficiency
without third-party add-ons
- Secured 57% growth in reseller and service provider partnerships
- The
Lenovo partnership, co-launching the ThinkAgile CP Series composable
cloud platform, a ‘cloud-in-a-box' that offers all of the conveniences
and ease-of-use of a public cloud environment secured behind a
customer's own data center firewall.
