Leaseweb USA, a leading
hosting and cloud services company, today announces the opening of a new data
center facility in Miami to expand its hosting potential in the United States
and creates a future pathway into South America. The new facility completes the
circle of Leaseweb data centers in the United States, adding to the ten current
locations operating across the country.
The opening of the data
center in Miami will form a stepping stone to South America in line with
Leaseweb's global expansion plans. Leaseweb already offers customers
hosting services on four continents in locations across Europe, Asia, Australia
and North America.
Lex Boost, CEO of Leaseweb
USA, says: "Leaseweb has built its business on offering internet decision
makers high quality, reliable global hosting services. Increasingly companies of
all sizes are finding themselves working globally, both through remote
employees and expanding customer bases, which in turn drives their need for
multi-location data centers. The opening of our Miami location is another step
forward in catering to our global customer base. It increases our U.S.
footprint by adding a key location to our collection of data centers and
provides both current and future customers with a great way to bridge their
business into South America."
Businesses are increasingly
seeking a hybrid cloud service partner that can host all their data across the
globe. With its global presence, Leaseweb can serve as a single point of
contact, offer compliance with local requirements, and ‘speak the local language'
of every customer.
Boost adds: "For many of our
customers it's important to reach a wider world. Leaseweb helps them to achieve
this goal with our large number of locations in the U.S. and the rest of the
world. The location in Miami provides a springboard into the greater Americas,
allowing us to get one step closer to meeting our ambitious growth goals and
enables our customers to reach the unreachable."
The Miami data center, which
will be operational in February 2019, is located in a private, secure space in
a Coresite facility. It was selected after Leaseweb's Data Center Operation
performed a ‘selection audit' that assessed security and compliance with local
risk mitigation practices.
In addition to Miami, Leaseweb operates data
centers in Washington DC, New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix, Los
Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. It also has locations in Amsterdam, London,
Frankfurt, Singapore, Hong Kong and Sydney.
