ClearCube Launches New CD8801 and CD8826 Thin Clients at HIMSS19

ClearCube Technology, Inc. announces the launch of the new CD8801 and CD8826 Thin Clients at HIMSS 2019 US in Orlando, Florida on February 11, 2019. The compact Thin Clients demonstrate their versatility in the healthcare, banking, government, and manufacturing industries at low prices of $199 and $520 and above respectively.

Powered by Intel Celeron N2807 dual-core processors with Intel® DirectX 11 graphics, CD8801 facilitates multimedia capability and a familiar PC user experience for task and knowledge workers. Intel's enhanced processing capacity offers workers quicker response, improved decoding, and clearer images. I/O ports include four USB 2.0 ports, audio input and output ports, one DVI-D connector, and one VGA connector. This is ideal for users that do not require many USB ports to work with. CD8801 integrates an ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core processor (1.2GHz) and 1 GB DDR3L SDRAM that offer performance with low power requirements in the latest remote PC and VDI solutions.

CD8826 features two DisplayPort connectors and one HDMI connector for one monitor at 4K resolution, two monitors at 2560x1600, and three monitors at 1920x1200. The Thin Client is equipped with another option for a fourth display via DisplayPort at 1920x1080. The Embedded AMD R-Series dual core processor adds gives the system the power to facilitate advanced workloads. The CD8826 Thin Client's AMD Radeon graphics feature high bandwidth memory and deliver dynamic and immersive, 4K, UHD multimedia performance to meet users' increasing demands for feature-rich virtualization solutions. TPM 2.0 support fulfills hardware-based security functions in mission-critical environments through advanced algorithms. An optional integrated Smart Card Reader ensures that smartcard data remains safe within the CD8826 Thin Client enclosure. Users can choose between Fiber or Copper connectors to transfer significant data at high throughput over long distances. Power users with high-end IT and graphics needs receive full performance benefits.

"One vertical we find ideal to use thin clients is healthcare, and we are excited to add the new CD8801 and CD8826 Thin Clients to our endpoint portfolio, just in time for HIMMS19" said Doug Layne Vice President of Global Sales "These new endpoints cover all the IT requirements users have in healthcare environments, from task to power users, they can now benefit from the increased security, high-performance, mobility, reliability, and low-cost ClearCube Thin Clients provide" he said.

The Thin Clients use ClearCube's minimal-footprint Linux-based Cloud Desktop OS to deliver optimized display and remote connection protocols. Cloud Desktop OS features support for CITRIX HDX, VMware View, FreeRDP for Microsoft Remote Desktops, and multiple other protocols for connections back to terminal services, virtual desktops, and backend systems. This enables organizations to instantly benefit from VDI client computing. From extending IT infrastructure lifecycle through repurposing existing hardware devices into Thin Clients, to powering CD8801 and CD8826, and supporting other ClearCube Thin Clients, enterprises receive full coverage.

Imprivata OneSign reduces IT help desk tickets by eliminating the need to repeatedly enter numerous, complex usernames and passwords for application and workstation access. Password formats can be set to organizational requirements with policies that can be deployed to specific users. The solution facilitates authentication management efficiencies to roaming desktop sessions by integrating with virtualization platforms. Biometric identification facilitates access to clinical desktops, applications, and data from any location with a swipe of a fingerprint. This can be done quickly and securely across all major clinical and EHR/EMR applications and through the broadest Thin Client support from CD8801 and CD8826 devices.

CD8801 and CD8826 Thin Clients come with vertical foot stands and optional VESA mounts to optimize space savings in enterprise settings.
