Kaloom Achieves Certification for Red Hat OpenStack Platform

Kaloom, an emerging leader in the automated data center networking software market, today announced its certification with Red Hat OpenStack Platform based on the Neutron Modular Layer 2 (ML2) plug-in. The OpenStack integration is now commercially available for customers.

Kaloom's Software Defined Fabric and Cloud Edge Fabric are now certified as integrated with Red Hat OpenStack Platform. The ML2 component within OpenStack Neutron manages and configures L2 services. Kaloom has made enhancements by adding new drivers to support the Kaloom Virtual Switch, Virtual Fabrics and L3 services. Data center operators and service providers can now integrate OpenStack with Kaloom's Software Defined Fabric and Cloud Edge Fabric.

"We are very pleased to announce the availability of our ML2 integration with Red Hat's OpenStack Platform. We have seen customer interest in a production integration," said Suresh Krishnan, chief technology officer at Kaloom.

"Red Hat is pleased to see Kaloom bring pre-tested and certified solutions on its Software Defined Fabric and Cloud Edge Fabric to the Red Hat OpenStack Platform," said Chris Wright, chief technology officer at Red Hat. "This enables customers to more quickly and confidently deploy Red Hat OpenStack Platform with Kaloom's fabric solutions."
