How digital infrastructure will bring Indonesia's bright future closer

Over 700 data center and cloud professionals will converge on the Hotel Mulia in Jakarta on June 19 for the 7th annual DCD>Jakarta conference. The event is a key date for Indonesian businesses that rely on digital infrastructure or which provide services to it. In recent years, the event has also started to attract more international speakers and delegates as the region continues a very high growth phase.

Indonesia's reliance on digital infrastructure is growing; based on a burgeoning middle class, and the continued transition into a service-focused economy. Transformation and adoption is being enabled by factors such as tech innovation and the availability of global-class outsourcing and cloud services. As part of this, Chinese and US cloud giants are expanding their presence in Indonesia, as evidenced by the recent updates from Google and Amazon Web Services.

These conditions have also given rise to an exciting start-up scene - particularly GoJek, founded in 2010, who have successfully leveraged the cloud to support their growth in Indonesia and are now expanding throughout South East Asia, and are now a major player. I am pleased to announce that their Head of IT Infrastructure, Ananto Widhi Nugroho will be a keynote speaker at this year's event, sharing key learning's from the companies IT infrastructure transformation journey.
