Data Center Austin Conference Announces Speakers for Its Fifth Annual Summit
The Data Center Austin Conference (DCAC) announces today the initial roster of speakers for its fifth annual summit taking place September 24-25, in Austin, Texas. Focused on the emerging technologies that will drive data center demand as humankind enters the Fourth Industrial Revolution, DCAC's marquee line-up of technologists and industry thought leaders includes Priscilla Johnson, Ph.D., the Director of Water Strategy for Cloud Operations and Innovation at Microsoft, Shawn Tugwell, Director, Data Center Architecture & Engineering at PayPal, and Allen Tucker, Managing Director, Data Center & Site Selection at JLL.

"Next-generation technologies such as the IoT, smart city applications and autonomous vehicles will cause society to undergo changes as seismic as those driven by the invention of the printing press," states Kirk Offel, founder of DCAC. "By popular demand, DCAC 2019 is expanding to a two-day summit, which will enable us to present an even broader lineup of technologists and futurists who will address what we can anticipate from these exciting advances, as well as the data center leaders who will be charged with keeping pace with the accompanying surging workloads, while upholding sustainability and the environmental stewardship of our planet."

DCAC 2019 speakers also include Dr. Julie Albright, a sociologist specializing in digital culture and communications, who has appeared on CNN, the NBC Nightly News, and the Today Show. Dr. Albright is the author of the book, "Left to Their Own Devices: How Digital Natives Are Reshaping the American Dream," and a Board Director of Infrastructure Masons, an independent industry group of executive and technology professionals entrusted with building and operating the physical and logical structures of the Digital Age.

Amy Peck, the founder and CEO of EndeavorVR, a strategy and consulting firm focused on Augmented and Virtual Reality, and author of the upcoming book, "Blockchain is the New Black," returns to DCAC for the second consecutive year. Phill Lawson-Shanks, Chief Development Officer at Aligned Energy, who's been described as one of the data center industry's top visionaries in network connectivity, will also grace the dais at DCAC 2019, as will Mark Thiele, Director of Engineering for Edge Computing at Ericsson, a 30-plus-year industry veteran who speaks on such topics as cloud adoption, data centers, edge computing and enterprise digital transformation.

Additional speakers and details concerning content and programming will be released in forthcoming press announcements.
