Interxion Named as AI-Ready Colocation Data Centre Partner for NVIDIA DGX Systems

INTERXION HOLDING NV, a leading provider of carrier and cloud-neutral colocation data centre services in Europe, today announced that it has been selected as a colocation provider for the NVIDIA DGX-Ready Data Centre program. Interxion is now one of the first of a new class of European partners carrying this certification. The program offers a qualified network of artificial intelligence (AI)-ready data centre solutions for customers running AI infrastructure built on NVIDIA DGX systems.

NVIDIA DGX systems are the first solutions purpose-built for the unique demands of the AI-enterprise. Additionally, they enable scalable AI infrastructure with revolutionary performance and effortless productivity for data scientists, developers and researchers. As an AI-ready colocation data centre partner for NVIDIA DGX systems, Interxion provides organisations with a roadmap for utilising NVIDIA's extensive AI and data science capabilities to develop their own AI offerings within Interxion's facilities.

"AI adoption and spending is taking off across Europe, as the technology has become the game changer in highly competitive markets including financial services, healthcare, retail, media and entertainment, manufacturing and automotive industries. NVIDIA's DGX systems play a key part in enabling these businesses to leverage the technology as a competitive differentiator," said Bryan Hill, director of marketing and business development, digital media at Interxion. "We're very happy to be partnering with NVIDIA and its customers to provide the scalable and flexible environments they need to take advantage of AI technology and further innovate in their industries."

Deploying AI at scale places unique demands on data centre resources including the need to support high-density compute infrastructure that runs nearly continuously, demanding state-of-the-art-facilities that can support the required power and cooling capacities. In addition, a successful enterprise AI strategy and implementation is highly dependent on connectivity. The ingestion and transport of data from enterprise on-premise and ‘edge locations' through to core processing across multiple public cloud providers requires a secure and performant hybrid-cloud architecture.

However, most of today's enterprises do not have the means to support these accelerated computing operations. Rather than building their own new modern data centres, businesses are looking to tap colocation providers like Interxion that can provide enterprises with these capabilities as well as secure performant access to the public and hybrid clouds and various connectivity options, so their AI initiatives are successful now and in the future.

Interxion will offer colocation services to customers needing to deploy NVIDIA DGX systems, across all 11 countries in which it operates in Europe.
