StorONE today
announced that Madison Cloud IT Solutions has chosen its S1 Software
Defined Storage to power the solution provider's on premise and Private
MultiCloud Storage platform. This new platform delivers high
performance, next generation data protection, unlimited storage scale
out and eliminates innovation lock in.
Madison
Cloud's private storage services are built with StorONE's unified
enterprise storage software and enterprise class COTS (commercial
off-the-shelf) hardware. The platform offers high availability and
industry standard storage protocols. This approach allows applications
to run seamlessly in on premises, hybrid and MultiCloud connected
deployments.
Controlling
where your data lives and maintaining data security are key concerns in
adopting Cloud services. Placing private storage directly adjacent to
cloud provider data centers provides for very low-latency connections to
their compute instances and services. This deployment model delivers on
the promise of Cloud while keeping data under an organization's direct
control. Madison Cloud storage services are available on the Equinix
Cloud Exchange, enabling high-speed connections to service providers
such as AWS, Azure, Google, IBM, Oracle, Government agencies,
enterprises and more. Pricing is consumption based for both Cloud
connected and on premise storage solutions.
"Our
Private MultiCloud Storage (PMCS) platform removes obstacles to Cloud
migration and accelerates a wide range of workflows with StorONE's
unique capabilities," said Randall Van Allen, CEO of Madison Cloud.
"Their innovative and ultra-efficient storage software combined with our
ability to deploy in a variety of hardware form factors is redefining
private, hybrid and MultiCloud architectures."
StorONE's
patented technology can support multiple enterprise functions and can
be used with an all-flash or hybrid array, virtual storage, secondary
storage, or cloud storage. StorONE supports all protocols (block, file,
and object) in a single software solution that includes enterprise-class
data protection and data retention. StorONE's S1 software eliminates
drive selection dependencies typically found in legacy RAID-based
storage solutions. Customers can co-mingle and hot swap almost any drive
make or model in the same storage server chassis. Volume-level Erasure
Coding provides rapid recovery in case of a drive failure, without
degrading volume performance. Zero data snapshots and replication
capabilities are built in.
"Madison
Cloud's deployment capabilities show that users can achieve high
performance with enterprise data protection in any environment," said
Gal Naor, StorONE co-founder and CEO. "By partnering with Madison Cloud,
we are able to provide users with full data security and the
flexibility of the Cloud. It is yet another example that showcases the
best-in-class performance and unlimited possibilities of the StorONE
software."
