#KubeCon 2019 Q&A: A10 Networks Will Showcase Its Application Delivery and Security Solution as well as Its 5G Virtual Network Function at Booth S69

kubecon 2019 QA

Are you attending KubeCon 2019 in San Diego in November?  If so, I invite you to add A10 Networks to your MUST SEE list of vendors.

KubeCon 2019 is shaping up to be a fantastic event!  And the number of sponsoring vendors at this year's show is extremely impressive as the show continues to grow in scope and size!  One of the companies that will be on VMblog's MUST SEE list this year at the event is A10 Networks.  A10 Networks provides Reliable Security Always, with a range of high-performance application networking solutions that help organizations ensure that their data center applications and networks remain highly available, accelerated and secure.

Read this exclusive pre-show interview between VMblog and A10 Networks to learn what they have planned for the upcoming KubeCon North America 2019 event and why you need to visit their booth.

VMblog:  As a KubeCon 2019 sponsor, how can people find you at the show?

A10 Networks:  We have a Silver sponsorship - and we will be showing demos at our 8 X 8 booth #S69.

VMblog:  Is there anything interesting or unique about your booth?  Is there a theme this year?

A10 Networks:  The theme this year is "Empowering Multi-cloud & 5G". We are showcasing our application delivery and security solution across multi-cloud and in the Kubernetes environment. Users get consistent application delivery and security across the Multi-cloud, with real-time visibility at a per app, per flow level.

We are also showcasing our 5G Virtual Network Function (VNF), that can be deployed at Edge or in Core and provide enhanced security and traffic steering for 5G deployments.

VMblog:  If an attendee likes what they see and hear at your booth... what message about your product can you send them back with to sell their boss on your technology?

A10 Networks:  A multi-cloud strategy can be very complex. A10 Networks can enable consistent application delivery, security and visibility across multi-cloud, containers and Kubernetes.

VMblog:  What are some of the reasons why you believe a KubeCon attendee should add you to their MUST SEE list?

A10 Networks:  DevOps, NetOps & SecOps are finding it challenging to manage application delivery and security across the multi-cloud. A10 Networks will demonstrate solutions that will simplify these challenges whether your applications are on-premises, hybrid environment, multi-cloud, containers or in a Kubernetes environment.

VMblog:  You've sponsored KubeCon before, correct?  So what brings you back this year as a sponsor?

A10 Networks:  Yes. The energy and enthusiasm of attendees to build a large community that collaboratively benefits from and augments Kubernetes - development and adoption.

VMblog:  Can you give VMblog readers a sneak peek as to what you will be showing off at your booth?  What should attendees expect to see and hear at your booth?

A10 Networks:  Attendees will see Kubernetes solutions that enable TLS/SSL offload, DDoS protection, east-west visibility, simplifying policy configuration and deployment across clusters.

For 5G, users will also see a real-time NFV solution, that demonstrates 5G capabilities for voice and video services. More info at the booth!

VMblog:  Thinking about your company, give readers a few reasons why your product or service is considered unique.

A10 Networks:  A10 is a leading vendor in Multi-Cloud, 5G and Security - DDoS defense. Our solutions are deployed at scale world-wide - and we enable Enterprises, Service Providers and Web Giants to improve availability, reliability and security of their applications and infrastructure.

VMblog:  How does your company and product fit within the container or cloud ecosystem?

A10 Networks:  In terms of traffic flow and security in Kubernetes, all the considerations below have the benefit of drastically simplifying things for dev and ops teams:

  • A simple architecture with a unified solution.
  • Central management and control for easy analytics and troubleshooting.
  • Common configuration formats like YAML and JSON, which Kubernetes also uses.
  • No change in application code or configuration to implement security and gather analytic information.
  • Automated application of security policies.

If companies prioritize those items, enterprises can enjoy streamlined, automated and secure traffic flow within Kubernetes. That's something that your hardware, your bottom line and your ops teams will all appreciate.

VMblog:  What are you looking forward to most at this year's event?

A10 Networks:  Educating others and learning from others. Sharing information on what we are doing within the container/Kubernetes environment. And we love to hear what other companies are doing in the space and how the audience is adopting these new technologies.

VMblog:  What do you think we need to do collectively as an ecosystem to strengthen the industry?

A10 Networks:  Make it easier to adopt the solutions, and improve interoperability.

VMblog:  What, if anything, is holding the container market back?  Or what is holding back wider deployment?

A10 Networks:  Skill-set gap is the largest hold back.

VMblog:  What do you attribute to KubeCon's growing success this year?

A10 Networks:  The adoption of the multi-cloud strategy. Kubernetes is a key aspect of that. Attendees want to consume all of the information they can. And KubeCon matches the right attendees, speakers and vendors to work together to build community.

VMblog:  What do you hope to come away with from exhibiting at KubeCon?  What does event success look like to you?

A10 Networks:  Building a greater understanding of our solutions, our company amongst the attendees. And to continue to build on the relationships we make at KubeCon.

VMblog:  Do you have any tips for first time attendees that you'd like to share?

A10 Networks:  Definitely visit A10 Networks! Ask a lot of questions, visit all the sponsors - build relationships and communities that you can continue to foster until KubeCon 2020!

VMblog:  Does your company have any speaking sessions during the show?  If so, can you give us the who, what, when and where?

A10 Networks:  The Demo Keynote is Wednesday Nov. 20, 9:59am to 10:24am, Exhibit Hall AB.

Title:  E2E 5G Cloud Native Network

VMblog:  Are you guys throwing or involved with any type of party during the event?  Can you share the details?

A10 Networks:  Yes:

Rustic Root has an amazing rooftop bar and we're excited to host a KubeCon k8s happy hour with our partners. Meet other KubeCon attendees, network, and enjoy some drinks and grub on us - it's a 10 minute walk from the San Diego Convention Center, in the heart of the Gaslamp District of San Diego.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at KubeCon!
