The VMblog 2020 Industry Experts Video Prediction Series - Episode 3
As part of VMblog's annual prediction series for 2020, we asked a number of different industry experts to share their thoughts about 2020 in video format.  In episode 3, we spoke with the following industry experts: Matt Wallace, CTO at Faction; Ariff Kassam, CTO at NuoDB; and Brian Knudtson, Cloud Technologist at iland.

Watch as these experts talk about their predictions and share their thoughts around future technologies within the IT industry.

According to Matt Wallace, Disaster Recovery will go multicloud in 2020. Wallace says that over the past few years, a lot of customers started to migrate DR into the cloud, leveraging VMware Cloud on AWS. VMware has announced major partnerships with Azure and Google Cloud Platform, so people can now select any of the public clouds for their DR workflows. Wallace thinks, because of the adoption seen on VMware Cloud on AWS, the single largest trend for DR in 2020 will be that many more people will start adopting different public clouds for their Disaster Recovery leveraging VMware technologies.
