SIOS Technology Corp., an industry pioneer in providing intelligent application availability, today announced the appointment of Masahiro Arai to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Arai will oversee the company's day-to-day business operations, shaping its strategic plans, and aligning priorities across worldwide sales, marketing, product management and engineering teams. SIOS is headquartered in San Mateo, CA with US R&D located in Columbia, SC. He reports to Chairman, President and CEO Nobuo Kita.

The company is now well positioned to meet the growing global demands for SIOS' high availability clustering software for critical applications like SQL Server, Oracle and SAP operating in physical, virtual and cloud environments.

Most recently, Masahiro served as Chief Executive Officer of BayPOS where he developed and executed software product and support strategies and led a distributed team responsible for product development, quality assurance, software deployment, and customer support. Masahiro currently works in the San Mateo, California office. He holds a Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Robotics from Tokyo Denki University.
