Click Armor today announced the launch of "Home Alone", its
training module for remote workers delivered via its gamified security
awareness platform. With millions of employees now working from home,
organizations are faced with unique security challenges that require specialized
training. Home Alone is designed to give employees the skills they need to
fight against phishing, social engineering and other security threats facing
remote workers. A single successful attack could cost an organization millions
of dollars and cause significant reputational damage.
By completing Home Alone, employees will learn:
- Why
and how security risks are different when working from home
- Important
risks requiring special attention to safeguards such as authentication,
physical security and wireless security
- Best
practices for protecting work and home information assets
- Email
and social engineering simulation exercise scenarios
According to Scott Wright, Chief Executive Officer of Click
Armor, the development of Home Alone was customer-driven. "Spurred by COVID-19,
the rapid move from traditional office-based work to a remote workforce is
unprecedented," said Wright. "Our customers recognize that working from home
creates new security vulnerabilities that must be addressed quickly and
effectively. That's why we are excited to launch Home Alone, giving our
customers the tools to fight back against the scammers and hackers targeting
home-based workers."
"When we moved to a fully remote workforce on short-notice we
wanted to be certain that our employees had the skills to deal with new cyber
security challenges," said Norman Carr, President and CEO of TRM Technologies. "Click Armor's Home Alone module proved to be an engaging
and effective way to give our employees the skills they need to work safely
from anywhere."
Click Armor's gamification platform provides a uniquely powerful
learning experience. Unlike videos, presentations and tests used in
traditional security awareness training programs, Click Armor offers game-based
learning, where customers are trained in a highly interactive environment,
featuring games, quizzes and simulations designed by gamification experts.
Competition is encouraged through the use of leaderboards, badges and awards.
According to a recent survey by Learning LMS, 83% of those who receive gamified
training feel motivated, while 61% those who receive non-gamified training
feel bored and unproductive. Gamification is simply a better way to learn.
Click Armor's Home
Alone module is available immediately, and is free to individuals and
organizations through the end of Cyber Security Awareness Month - October,
2020.
