Brinqa Recognized for Best Vulnerability Management and Best Cyber Security Risk Management in 2020 'ASTORS' Homeland Security Awards Program

Brinqa, a leader in Cyber Risk Management, announced that it has earned Best Vulnerability Management and Best Cyber Security Risk Management honors in the 2020 "ASTORS" Homeland Security Awards Program from American Security Today (AST). Brinqa Vulnerability Risk Service won the Gold Award in the Best Vulnerability Management awards category, while the company's Knowledge Graph-powered Cyber Risk Services won the Gold Award in the Best Cyber Security Risk Management awards category.

The Annual "ASTORS" Awards, now in its fifth year, is the preeminent U.S. Homeland Security Awards Program, highlighting the most cutting-edge and forward-thinking security solutions coming onto the market today. The program is specifically designed to honor distinguished government and vendor solutions that deliver enhanced value, benefits and intelligence to end users in a variety of government, homeland security, enterprise, and public safety vertical markets.

"Today, the United States is increasingly focusing on protecting public spaces, as well as IT/cyber security networks, and they are calling on innovative companies such as Brinqa to help them do so," said Tammy Waitt, co-founder and editorial director of American Security Today. "‘ASTORS' nominations are evaluated on their technical innovation, interoperability, specific impact within the category, overall impact to the industry, relatability to other industry technologies, and application feasibility outside of the industry."

Brinqa Cyber Risk Management Platform is built for security; transforming security, context and threat data into insights that empower organizations to own their cyber risk. Brinqa Cyber Risk Graph - the knowledge graph for cybersecurity - connects all relevant security and business data, establishes a common risk language, and powers cybersecurity insights and outcomes. Brinqa applies this knowledge to uniquely inform risk management strategies, standardize security data management and analysis, improve communication between teams, deliver actionable insights, and automate risk remediation.

"2020 has been a very challenging year for everyone due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however the 2020 ‘ASTORS' Homeland Security Awards Program was again a huge success, with many new categories added, including a section for COVID-19 Detection and Innovation," added Michael Madsen, co-founder and publisher of American Security Today.

"It is an honor to receive two Gold Awards in this year's ‘ASTORS' Awards Program," said Syed Abdur, Brinqa VP of Products. "These awards recognize the continued commitment to innovation that has driven our efforts to develop the first and only Knowledge Graph designed for cybersecurity. Supported by the largest cybersecurity data integration ecosystem of its kind, the Brinqa Platform delivers enterprise-grade, low-code cybersecurity application design and implementation for businesses looking to take control of their cybersecurity operations - transforming how they tackle critical cybersecurity challenges such as Vulnerability Management, Application Security and Cloud Security."
