What is the VMware ESXi Server and Its Role in the VMware Suite?

 

The VMware ESXi server is an ultra-tiny bare-metal type-1 hypervisor that's responsible for running countless virtual machines in some of the largest VDI deployments and other virtual environments on the planet.
