During
today's all-virtual DeveloperWeek expo and conference, Codefresh was honored with a 2021
DEVIES Award for
its Codefresh Runner, a cloud-native solution that allows DevOps teams to
selectively run pipelines, deployments and versioning on their own Kubernetes
clusters no matter where they are: behind a firewall, on site, or the virtual
private cloud.
The
DEVIES recognize excellence in developer tools, products and
technology. The Runner, which was released in July
2020, won for developer and engineering innovation in the DevOps
category. It's a meaningful win since products are judged on technical
innovation, adoption, and reception in the developer technology industry and by
the developer community. DeveloperWeek 2021, the world's largest
developer and engineering conference and expo, with more than 8,000 participants,
continues through tomorrow.
Dan
Garfield, Codefresh's Chief Open Source Officer, said, "The Runner, combined
with our GitOps offering, opens up so many possibilities for managing clusters
and providing services in hospitals, in banking, and defense. The security and
low-maintenance overhead has made it a hit."
The
2021 DEVIES Awards received hundreds of nominations. Winners were determined
based on three criteria: attracting notable attention and awareness in the
software industry; general regard and adoption by the developer, engineering,
and IT communities; and, being a technical leader in its sector for
innovation.
"Developer
tools and solutions are continuing to grow in their importance to the global
technology industry. Codefresh is a great example
of the new era of products and services allowing developers and engineers to
have a greater impact on a company's bottom line and overall efficiency," said
Geoff Domoracki, CEO of DevNetwork, producer of DeveloperWeek and the 2021
DEVIES Awards.
