Stratodesk announced Stratodesk NoTouch OS has achieved certification for
Citrix Ready for Cloud, Citrix Ready Endpoint and Citrix Ready Endpoint Premium.
The Citrix Ready program makes it easy for customers to identify
complementary products and solutions that can enhance Citrix
environments. Customers can be confident that Stratodesk NoTouch OS has
successfully passed a series of tests established by Citrix, and can be
trusted to work effectively with the Citrix Workspace App for Linux.
Stratodesk's
NoTouch OS is now fully certified for Citrix Virtual Apps &
Desktops version 21.12. Stratodesk NoTouch OS also ships with Stratodesk
NoTouch Center, an enterprise management solution capable of managing
x86, x64 and Raspberry Pi devices, and comes at no additional cost.
"Stratodesk
and Citrix unlock your virtual desktops to fully enable hybrid
workforces, allowing productivity from anywhere in a secure, centralized
manner that lifts the operational burden from IT staff," said Emanuel
Pirker, CEO and Founder of Stratodesk. "Software innovation only matters
if customers can take advantage of features without restrictions, which
is why Stratodesk NoTouch supporting Citrix Workspace 2112 is so
important for remote workers. On day one, our joint customers and
partners can deploy our endpoint suite to optimize their Citrix cloud
desktops experience with confidence."
"Citrix
is committed to providing our customers with solutions to power the
hybrid models that are driving the future of work," said John
Panagulias, Director, Ecosystem and Technology Partners, Citrix. "The
certification of Stratodesk NoTouch OS for Citrix Ready for Cloud and
Citrix Ready Endpoint Premium demonstrates this commitment, as our VDI
customers now have another tool they can use to empower their employees
to work anywhere, anytime from any device in a consistent, secure and
reliable way."
Deploying ‘Day One' Features for Citrix updates
Stratodesk
continues its tradition of being first to deliver new features from
virtual desktop partners like Citrix when they become available to the
market. Stratodesk's newest NoTouch OS version 3.3.508 integrates
Remote DX from ControlUp for monitoring Citrix virtual desktops and
applications. ControlUp Remote DX collects relevant data on the
end-user's work-from-anywhere experience, such as the quality and speed
of their Wi-Fi or internet connection.
Without
Stratodesk NoTouch, IT staff have to either download and deploy the
Citrix Workspace App on their own, which includes keeping Windows
installed on desktops, or purchase entirely new thin clients, which can
be pricey and lock an organization into specific hardware.
Expanding Remote Communication and Collaboration with Stratodesk and Citrix
By
deploying endpoints running Citrix Workspace and Stratodesk NoTouch
solutions, enterprise IT organizations can offer their choice of unified
communications and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Teams,
Zoom, and Cisco WebEx with HDX certification, to end-users working
partly or full-time from home. "Citrix has made great improvements in
the last six months focused on their audio and video redirection for
Workspace App for Linux, including capabilities currently in high demand
from our Citrix and Stratodesk customers," says Martin Therkelsen,
Cloud Solution Specialist at edgemo. "Especially support for Audio UDP
or Citrix Gateway, a feature released as Tech Preview in the Workspace
App for Linux 2112, has received a lot of positive feedback."
Stratodesk
can transform any PC, thin client, laptop or Raspberry Pi device into a
secure and centrally managed VDI/DaaS endpoint with Stratodesk's suite
of thin-client endpoint software solutions, including Stratodesk NoTouch Center, Stratodesk NoTouch OS, and Stratodesk NoTouch Long Term Support (LTS).
The recently launched NoTouch LTS solution brings greater control to
enterprise IT departments responsible for managing and efficiently
updating from thousands to tens of thousands computing devices
distributed across multiple locations.
