Surfshark is the first premium VPN to offer servers in 100 countries
After releasing new servers in Ghana, Saudi Arabia, and Puerto Rico, cybersecurity company Surfshark became the first premium commercial VPN to offer servers in 100 countries. The company provides above-average coverage to South America and Africa, and its total server count now reaches 3200+.

"Having extensive coverage of server locations across the globe assures most people will be able to choose a connection close to their homes, offices, or a traveling destination. It allows a fast and, most importantly, secure and private browsing experience", says Justas Pukys, VPN product owner at Surfshark.

On the security front, in 2020, Surfshark became one of the first VPN providers to upgrade its infrastructure's security with a 100% diskless server network, covering all 3200+ servers and locations in all countries. Having diskless infrastructure means that if someone physically removed a server to get the data inside, that server would be wiped immediately.

Seeking to accommodate the faster internet, Surfshark is also gradually shifting from 1Gbps VPN servers to 10Gbps across the globe. The company has implemented 10 Gbps servers in half of the locations, and the rest will follow soon.

The extended server list is the newest addition to Surfshark's wide list of services, including MultiHop routes, Kill Switch, Bypasser, Pause VPN, and CleanWeb. Recently, Surfshark also introduced a Linux VPN app with a graphic user interface (GUI) and many more new functionalities to come.

All of them are available in the Surfshark One bundle, which entails all four of the company's solutions. Apart from the Surfshark VPN premium privacy protection service, it includes Surfshark Antivirus, Surfshark Alert (which can detect different types of leaked data and inform the user where the breached data has appeared), and Surfshark Search (a private search tool that performs web search queries without ads, data logging, and trackers).
