Zyxel Networks' New Ultra-High Performance Security Firewalls Deliver Enterprise-Grade Security at Lightning Speeds
Zyxel Networks announced the launch of its USG FLEX H Series Security Firewalls for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMB). The high-performance firewalls combine ultra-fast firewall/UTM/VPN throughput, powerful multi-gigabit and PoE+ interfaces, and advanced best-of-breed network security to provide multi-layered protection against mounting cyber threats.

USG FLEX H series firewalls, which support enhanced SecuExtender to extend the same level of enterprise-grade security to remote networks, provide users with a robust triple performance firewall, VPN, and Unified Threat Management (UTM) solution. Multi-gigabit speeds ranging from 1G and 2.5G to 10G offer ample capacity to accommodate growing network demands and software-defined Ethernet ports offer greater versatility by empowering users to configure the ports for LAN or WAN use. Select USG FLEX H models support Power over Ethernet (PoE) with power budgets up to 30W to simplify deployment and deliver power to devices such as WiFi 6E access points (APs) and 5G routers.

Benefits and Features of USG FLEX H Series Security Firewalls

  • Ultra-High Performance -Next-generation multi-core hardware and Fastpath technology minimizes packet processing time, reduces latency, and accelerates traffic flows to create ultra-high efficiency. User-definable ports that range from 2.5 to 10 Gbps can be configured as WAN or LAN to minimize effort when deploying complex wired and wireless networks.
  • Enterprise-Grade Security - USG FLEX H series makes zero trust security easy for SMBs. USG FLEX H series firewalls leverage Zyxel's AI-powered cloud intelligence to deliver multi-layered protection that blocks both outside malicious threats as well as inappropriate internal user behaviors. Zyxel cloud AI can identify unknown threats and update USG FLEX H devices to defend against evolving cyber attacks.

The USG FLEX H series defense systems include Reputation Filters, Device Insight, sandboxing, anti-malware, DNS/IP/URL filtering, IPS, and application patrol. The firewalls support widely used VPN protocols, such as IKEv2/EAP and SSL VPN, across multiple OS platforms.

  • A new OS Enhances User Experience - USG FLEX H series firewalls come equipped with uOS, a new operating system that has been tuned for faster response to configuration changes and a faster firmware update process. The intuitive, user-centric interface simplifies policy management making VPN configurations and keyword searches faster and easier. The graphical dashboard offers a clear and comprehensive overview of the entire network's security landscape enabling network administrators to make quick and informed decisions for timely threat responses.
  • Flexible, Hassle-free Management - USG FLEX H series firewalls are easily managed as standalone or centrally-managed devices through Zyxel's Nebula Cloud Management. Using Nebula Cloud, network administrators can monitor device on/off status, initiate firmware upgrades, manage firewall licenses, access remote GUIs via a Nebula Secure connection, and backup and restore firewall configurations. Network administrators can quickly onboard devices using the Nebula app and seamlessly switch between the device GUI or Nebula Control Center to manage the network, ensuring secure connections and centralized management of the network devices from a single pane of glass.

"Network challenges for SMBs continue to grow in complexity as the demand for more bandwidth and faster speeds, increased adoption of hybrid and remote work policies, and the ever-changing cyber threat environment push networks to their limits and introduce new security vulnerabilities on a daily basis," explained Tri Nguyen, Channel Sales and Product Manager at Zyxel Networks. "USG FLEX H series security firewalls provide SMBs with solutions that combine enterprise-grade performance, flexibility, and robust network security that enables users to adapt to the evolving network demands of their growing businesses."
