Rafay Delivers FIPS-compliant Self-hosted Controller to Address Public Sector Demand
Rafay Systems announced the availability of Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 compliance for its self-hosted controller. With this certification, public sector customers can securely deploy the Rafay Platform in GovCloud and other highly sensitive environments while meeting strict federal security standards. Rafay's ISV customers can also leverage the FIPS-compliant self-hosted controller to deliver their cloud-native apps to public sector customers.

Developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), FIPS 140-2 is a critical security benchmark in the U.S. and Canada that ensures the protection of sensitive data in cloud-native applications through certified cryptographic modules. For many customers, FIPS compliance is essential for operating in government-regulated environments.

"Federal customers maintain a very high bar for security and encryption, making FIPS 140-2 compliance a key requirement for any platform they deploy," said Srinivas Superaneni, president and CEO at 24X7 Systems. "With Rafay's self-hosted controller now complying with the FIPS 140-2 standard, we can confidently deliver solutions to public sector clients, ensuring compliance without compromising on performance."

"We recognize the growing demand for secure, compliant solutions and are proud to help our government and enterprise customers meet these requirements seamlessly," said Mohan Atreya, Chief Product Officer at Rafay Systems. "The FIPS 140-2 certification demonstrates our dedication to robust security. By delivering a FIPS-compliant platform, we empower our federal customers to leverage our solutions confidently in highly-regulated environments."

The Rafay Platform is designed for platform engineering teams at enterprises, service providers and ISVs, enabling them to create and deliver compute consumption workflows for their internal or external customers. By leveraging Rafay's Kubernetes and Environment Management capabilities, users can offer a PaaS experience and build end-to-end workflows for modern, AI-driven applications. These workflows are delivered to developers and data scientists with built-in guardrails and enterprise controls. Whether organizations need a secure landing zone with application deployment pipelines or isolated workspaces for developers, Rafay provides the tools to support platform engineering teams in delivering scalable, secure and efficient solutions.
