StorMagic has expanded its hardware compatibility list by
validating SvHCI on three Supermicro IoT SuperServers, offering customers more
flexibility to deploy lightweight, enterprise-ready infrastructure for edge and
remote environments. The pre-tested hardware configurations ensure seamless
integration and high availability for mission-critical applications.
First introduced in 2024, StorMagic SvHCI is designed for the
enterprise edge, ROBOs, and SMBs, combining the virtualized storage
capabilities of SvSAN with a StorMagic hypervisor, virtualized networking, and
management components. It can be deployed on a single server or on two servers
for high availability and zero downtime.
Supermicro's IoT SuperServers are built to support critical edge
applications, including multi-access computing, enterprise, and 5G. The newly
validated servers include the SYS-220HE-FTNR, a 2U Hyper system with six
NVMe/SATA bays; the SYS-210SE-31A, a SuperEdge 2U3-Node UP front I/O
short-depth server; and the SYS-110D-20C, a 20-core, 600W -48 Vdc redundant
PWS, 1U edge platform.
"The SvHCI software stack is purpose-built for edge environments,
which require reliable, high-performance, and cost-effective infrastructure,"
said Bruce Kornfeld, Chief Product Officer, StorMagic. "With more businesses
moving away from VMware, demand for SvHCI is surging. Expanding our
compatibility with Supermicro enables us to meet this demand with proven,
high-performance solutions."
StorMagic SvHCI is available immediately through StorMagic's
global reseller network. The full-stack software starts at $2,049 per server.
