Are you getting ready for the upcoming Black Hat USA 2023 event, an internationally recognized cybersecurity event providing the most technical and relevant information security research, now in its 26th year.  The event is quickly approaching, taking place August 5-10, 2023, returning to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV with a 6-day program.

Ahead of the show, VMblog received an exclusive interview with Steve Garrison, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Stellar Cyber, creator of the Open XDR platform which delivers comprehensive, unified security without complexity, empowering lean security teams of any skill to secure their environments successfully.  You’re going to want to make sure you get them on your MUST SEE list.

VMblog:  Before we get into it, can you give us a quick overview of the company?  What should folks know?

Steve Garrison:  Stellar Cyber pioneered Open XDR technology, and its AI-driven SecOps platform makes it possible for lean security teams to keep up with the flood of cyberattacks.

VMblog:  You are sponsoring the upcoming Black Hat USA event.  How can attendees find you at the show?

Garrison:  We’re in Booth 672.

VMblog:  The show is focused on cybersecurity.  What specific problems is your company and technology addressing?

Garrison:  We address the challenge of making lean security teams far more productive so they can successfully deal with complex cybersecurity attacks.

VMblog:  What are some of the key takeaways of your solution that Black Hat attendees should be aware of?

Garrison:  Our platform extends the capabilities of lean security teams by correlating and analyzing data from every infrastructure point and then leveraging AI and machine learning to clearly identify how to deal with multi-vector attacks. We are open because we work with your existing tools and make them better through our AI.

VMblog:  What will you be showing off at the show this year?

Garrison:  We’ll be demonstrating the latest version of our award-winning Open XDR platform.

VMblog:  If you were presenting on the keynote stage, what trends do you see that companies should be paying special attention to in 2023 and beyond?

Garrison:  One of the biggest challenges organizations face is having to do more with less. The volume and complexity of cyberattacks continues to accelerate, but companies simply can’t afford to throw a lot more analysts at the problem.

VMblog:  Is your company involved in any parties during the event?

Garrison:  We’re hosting our Lock It Down party from 5-8PM on Thursday, August 10 at the 1923 Prohibition Bar at the Mandalay Bay Resort. Attendees need to register here: https://stellarcyber.ai/blackhat-lasvegas/
