The Identity Defined Security Alliance (IDSA), a nonprofit that provides vendor-neutral resources to help organizations reduce the risk of a breach by combining identity and security strategies, is providing valuable free resources for IT and cybersecurity professionals to access during National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. As the trusted source for all things identity, the IDSA provides vendor-neutral education, best practices and resources to help organizations minimize risk. The resource page will be continuously updated throughout the month, providing informative and valuable assets.
In its 20th year, Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a collaboration between Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) and the National Cybersecurity Alliance to raise awareness about digital security and empower individuals to protect personal data from digital forms of crime. This year’s Cybersecurity Awareness Month evergreen theme, “Secure Our World: 2023 and Beyond”, will focus on four key actions everyone should take to improve security, some of which relate directly to identity. As part of its commitment to raise awareness about the importance of securing digital identities and deploying identity-centric security strategies, the IDSA is hosting several webinars featuring identity and security experts including:
- October 19, 2023, 9:00 am PDT/12:00 pm EDT: Identity Security – Survey Says!, presented by IDSA
- October 26, 2023, 9:00 am PDT/12:00 pm EDT: Level Up Identity Security with Cyber Deception, presented by SentinelOne
“During Cybersecurity Awareness Month, we continue to focus on informing consumers and businesses about the dangers of casually or improperly managing and securing digital identities,” stated Jeff Reich, executive director of IDSA. “With the number of breaches attributed to compromised identities increasing, we are committed to raising awareness and sharing best practices across the industry. In order to #SecureOurWorld, we must #BeIdentitySmart.”
