Omnissa introduced Omnissa Elara, a new solution that enables IT teams to anticipate and guide AI actions before consequence. By connecting signals across systems that often operate independently, Elara gives IT and security leaders greater context into how their digital work tools, including AI apps, models and agents, are being used across their environment and the ability to apply policies and controls based on broader business context.
As AI activity grows, CIOs and CISOs face a more complex governance challenge, especially as automated actions happen at machine speed and extend beyond traditional IT boundaries. Not only are organizations beginning to build agents that can act on behalf of people or operate with their own identities, Omnissa research found that unsanctioned AI tools were present on 75% of enterprise-managed devices, underscoring how often employees are adopting tools that sit outside approved IT processes.

Govern actions before they become outcomes
Built to work across Omnissa and third-party environments, Elara reflects the way large enterprises operate today. Many existing tools are limited to authorizing actions within the systems they manage. Elara is designed to sit above these tools, connecting the systems that customers already run and giving organizations broader context without requiring them to standardize on a single technology stack. It then brings together signals across people, identities, devices, apps and AI, including agents, models and other AI tools, and correlates them with an organization’s policy and permission structure to determine what actions are allowed to occur before they happen.
As announced at Omnissa ONE 2026, Elara is launching in beta, and customers will have access to the following capabilities:
- Detecting shadow AI: Organizations can discover AI apps, LLM models, agents and other tools operating across the enterprise, including technology that falls outside approved policies or standard application inventories. This gives IT and security teams visibility into how AI is being adopted and where additional controls may be needed.
- Setting AI usage guardrails: Featuring the Omnissa AI Gateway, Elara governs how users, apps and agents access AI models. Elara can authorize model access, apply usage guardrails and meter token consumption across providers, helping organizations manage AI use without locking into a single model ecosystem.
- Change control for high-impact actions: Change Management capabilities bring change control across enterprise systems to a centralized, policy-governed action plane. Elara evaluates changes against conflicts, freezes and dependencies before they run. With the right enterprise context, Elara either clears the action, bounds it, or routes it to the approver who holds the authority.
- Capture audit-ready evidence: Elara records the full decision chain in real time, including what happened, who authorized it and what it touched, to maintain a clearer, replayable record.
