SpecterOps announced the availability of a new training course built in partnership with OpenAI through OpenAI Daybreak Defense Network. The new SpecterOps Tradecraft Academy offering, Adversary Intelligence: LLM Tradecraft, gives security practitioners a foundation to build, evaluate, test, and defend LLM and agentic systems through hands-on labs covering threat modeling, security testing, reverse engineering, and practical defensive security workflows. Course participants will also receive access to Codex and OpenAI’s latest models.

As enterprises rapidly accelerate AI adoption across business operations, AI agents and other AI-enabled systems are introducing new identities, tools and interactions that security teams need to understand and secure.

“Building practical experience is essential to understanding how AI can be applied effectively in cybersecurity,” said Wunan Li, Global Cyber Partnerships, OpenAI. “Built by SpecterOps’ AI threat researchers using the latest OpenAI models, Adversary Intelligence: LLM Tradecraft gives security practitioners the skills and understanding they need to proactively manage changing enterprise environments.”

With SpecterOps’ adversarial perspective woven throughout eight hours of content, Adversary Intelligence: LLM Tradecraft, gives participants hands-on experience applying AI technologies to security workflows and developing practical skills for evaluating, hardening, and securing agentic systems in enterprise environments.

“Increasingly, security practitioners are being asked to work with LLMs and agentic systems, but using these technologies effectively requires understanding how they work, where they can fail, and how an adversary might approach them,” said Andrew Chiles, VP of Tradecraft at SpecterOps. “The gap between using AI and understanding it can create security blind spots. We built the Adversary Intelligence: LLM Tradecraft course to close that gap through hands-on experience, giving practitioners the foundation to evaluate these systems critically and make informed decisions to build, evaluate, and secure them.”

Through this course, participants will learn:

  • How to build and evaluate LLM and agentic systems, including how to assess their architecture, limitations, and security implications
  • How to identify and understand adversarial techniques targeting LLM and agentic systems, including prompt injection, jailbreaks, and exploitable weaknesses in AI infrastructure
  • How to apply AI to defensive security workflows, including threat modeling, security testing, and AI-assisted reverse engineering using OpenAI’s latest models

Through Tradecraft Academy, SpecterOps delivers both live and on-demand training to cybersecurity practitioners. In addition to Adversary Intelligence: LLM Tradecraft, Tradecraft Academy also offers an on-demand introductory training on the concept of Attack Path Management using BloodHound, SpecterOps’ flagship tool, as well as courses covering topics including software supply chain security and Kubernetes for red teamers.
