With hundreds of billions of messages going through our platform each year, reaching more than 70% of the mobile phones across the globe, we are vigilant about protecting consumers by safeguarding the shopping and communications technology in the palm of their hands.
Here are my predictions on the evolving AI landscape and how individuals and companies can tread carefully in this dynamic environment while making the most of AI-powered advances.

Continuous Cybersecurity Awareness: A Year-Round Commitment
Cyber threats evolve continuously, demanding our unwavering attention throughout the year. Rather than relegating cybersecurity awareness to annual budgeting cycles, it should be an ongoing commitment. Staying abreast of emerging threats, adapting security measures, and fostering a proactive stance are essential components of a resilient defense against cyber adversaries.
Rise of Chatbots and the Impersonation Challenge
The increasing adoption of chatbots and AI technology paves the way for more efficient and seamless customer service, but it also comes with the risks associated with scams and impersonation. Lookalikes and fraudulent chatbots blur the lines for end consumers, making distinguishing between legitimate and malicious interactions challenging. As we traverse 2024, individuals must exercise caution and equip themselves with the knowledge needed to authenticate AI-driven interactions.
One year into the ChatGPT revolution, 2024 is a pivotal juncture where integrating AI into our daily lives presents both promise and peril.
